The development of the world’s first heat recovery system for utilizing waste heat from plastic processing machines can, without exaggeration, be described as the spark that ignited our successful corporate development. Nothing in this endeavor happened on its own, especially given the context of relatively low energy prices at the time. Our managing partner and company founder, Wolfgang Oehm, says himself, “I was fortunate to have bet on the right horse at the right time—the topic of heat recovery and energy savings.” The opportunity lay in being the only one to recognize, at that unusually early stage, that energy costs and environmental protection would become driving and supporting forces for a business idea.
