Obeck Packaging: Minimizing Energy Consumption as a Competitive Advantage

In the Bavarian-Thuringian border region—and thus right in the heart of the Coburg-Kronach-Sonneberg plastics hub—the father-son team of Reinhard and Andreas Obeck launched their PET packaging production company in 2006. The third expansion of production and storage facilities has since been completed. Currently, in October 2019, the company is in the process of further expanding its machinery. Obeck currently processes around 4,000 tons of PET and 1,000 tons of HDPE and PP for closures annually—with production volumes continuing to rise sharply.
